The Proposed Malapatan Ecological Park and Solidwaste Management Complex

The photo is the proposed Malapatan Ecological Park and Solidwaste Management Complex designed and prepared R2R SLF Design Team. This environmentally proactive municipality is also known for its operational Septage Treatment Facility (STF), which directly protects the Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape. 

The latest proposal is still aligned to protecting the quality of the municipality's drinking and coastal waters as mandated by the Philippines Ecological Solidwaste Management Act or RA 9003 and The Philippine Cleanwater Act or RA 9275.

The LGU is a 1st Class Municipality in the Province of Sarangani. It is bounded on the west by Sarangani Bay, on the east by Davao Occidental, on the north by Alabel, and on the south by Glan.
